Elle is a graduate of the University of Victoria, completing her Master's in Public Health with a focus on social policy. Elle is passionate about evaluation, sustained strategies, and equity-entrenched work; she is especially driven to work with historically excluded populations to enhance well-being at the community level and augment positive outcomes of social determinants of health. Previous to public health, Elle began her career in the health care system and has 7 years of nursing experience, holistically supporting maternal and neonatal populations within a family-centered care framework
Elle has experience working for the First Nations Health Authority as a Care Coordinator for the organization’s Virtual Substance Use and Psychiatry Services, which provides mental health and addictions support to Indigenous clients throughout the province. Elle was previously active with Black Women Connect Vancouver as their Community Engagement and Volunteer Coordinator, a new collective aimed at providing community and support for Black women within the Lower Mainland area.  
Elle grew up in and around South Vancouver as the daughter of immigrants and currently resides on the traditional, unceded territories of the xÊ·mÉ™θkwÉ™y̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and SÉ™lÌ“ílwÉ™taÊ”/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
