Our team worked with the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary and local community members and organizations to develop a Regional Poverty Reduction Plan for the Boundary Region that brings together best practices along with local and regional wisdom. With a focus on strengthening partnerships and building on existing stakeholder relationships within the region, the plan was developed to include a set of concrete strategies and actions, along with a timeline, a set of indicators to measure success, and a plan to collect the data needed to monitor success in both the short term and longer term. Alignment with the new provincial strategy targets helped to identify the ways in which key local government policies and plans can and are contributing to the collective goals and objectives.
